EDU642 Week 2 Blog Post

This week went well for me! I was excited about the video creation assignment, as I know we will be using this tool a lot throughout the 2020-2021 school year. It was definitely a good reminder that we need to be cautious when creating our videos and keep them short enough to keep our students engaged.

I was happy with what I created this week. I’ll be honest, sometimes I hate hearing myself on camera. However, I am becoming more and more comfortable as I create more videos!

I will use both of the videos I created with my 3rd-grade students this year. I plan to use my cursive video for in person learning as well as remote learning. The 6-minute-fluency video will be used for remote learning only.

The videos will be helpful for both the students and the parents. Parents often need reminders of directions and expectations as they are helping their students.

I am excited to continue using what we have learned in this course and exploring other video creation tools when time permits.
