I BELIEVE THAT LEARNING SHOULD BE EXCITING:

My everyday classroom is balanced with learning the Common Core through learner-centered instruction, curriculum-centered instruction, and technology integration. I strive to provide my students with engaging and well designed lessons that include technology. These aspects are critical for today's students. I strive to have every one of my students leave my classroom believing that learning is fun! 

 

I BELIEVE THAT A TEACHER SHOULD BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL FOR THEIR STUDENTS THROUGH EXAMPLE AND GUIDANCE: 

As an educator, I choose to act appropriately; putting my smile on daily, having a positive attitude, and being energized. My goal is to guide students towards being an effective communicator by communicating appropriately and effectively myself. Students in my classroom know that they have a right to be heard and their voices are important. I promise to be a leader in the area of technology with my students. I will model things like: being responsible online by taking care of myself and others, having a positive and encouraging online presence, and being safe online.

IT IS MY JOB AS THE TEACHER TO INSPIRE MY STUDENTS TO SUCCEED IN THE CLASSROOM AND BEYOND: 

I have a passion for lifelong learning. I want to inspire my students that the learning and applying doesn't stop in the classroom. As individuals we need to take this knowledge to help make the world a better place. I want to inspire my students to take risks, be unique, and follow their dreams. 

 

I BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD IS UNIQUE, GIFTED WITH DIFFERENT STRENGTHS, AND CHALLENGED WITH DIFFERENT WEAKNESSES:

As an educator it is my job to provide a safe and secure place for my students to learn and grow as individuals. I believe that differentiation is the key to success in this area. Children learn in different ways and at different paces, so having a variety of teaching strategies is important. I believe that lesson design and technology can also support students who are working and learning at multiple levels. Technology is a tool we use in education to help take our lessons to the next level.
