EDU642 Week 1 Blog Post

The thing that stood out to me this week was copyright with classroom use. It is something that I haven’t put much thought into with previous resources I’ve created unless I am creating them with the mindset to sell them on Teachers Pay Teachers. This week definitely challenged me and forced me to dig deep to better understand copyright and where to find quality resources in the right way.

I definitely enjoyed everything that I created this week. I was nervous about the Padlet and following the copyright guidelines, but after going through it I would definitely do it again! This is definitely a resource I can see myself using with my students. I also am LOVING the Bitmoji classroom and can’t wait to create more slides.

The Padlet I created about magnets will be used during our forces and interactions unit. I plan to add more to it as I look back over the unit and lessons. The Bitmoji classroom will be used during remote learning to introduce the week as well as link students to important documents and websites.

The tools I used this week definitely help teachers with their organization and planning. This is something I am passionate about as a teacher! I love creating resources that help with efficiency. I strive to be a 40-hour workweek teacher, and these tools are going to be helpful with that goal!
